Learn How to Reduce or Eliminate Your Herpes Symptom Pain

You might be deperate to find herpes pain relief that works for you - I know I was. The best thing for me was finding a herpes treatment option that worked for me. That took a lot of experimentation before finding options that worked for me, in the meantime I found a number of ways to sooth my herpes symptom pain and I've included them here, I hope they help!

Pain killers

• Taking an over-the-counter pain relief drug such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), acetaminophen (Aspirin), or ASA (Tylenol, Excedrin). I have found Advil Liqui-Gels work quite well for me.

• Anaesthetic (pain killing) sprays can relieve the herpes pain without having to touch the infected area.

• Organic silica gel can both ease the herpes symptom pain and shorten the duration of the herpes outbreak

Avoiding irritation

• Wearing cotton underwear and avoiding thong and nylon underwear can relieve herpes symptoms by decreasing friction.

• Avoiding tight clothing and anything that will rub the affected area.

Ice

Icing the area can decrease the herpes symptom pain and has been known to lessen the severity of outbreaks if applied at the first sign of an outbreak - click here to read about the first sign of herpes.

Baths

• Taking lukewarm baths and carefully patting the area dry or using a blow dryer on the cool setting to dry the area can sooth irritation of the herpes blisters.

• Black tea, either added to a bath or by pressing a moist tea bag against the herpes sores can reduce the pain.

• Using sitz baths to urinate if urination is painful - click here to find out how to use a sitz bath.

I hope these suggestions help you relieve your herpes pain. If you have other methods that have worked for you please send them to me by using the contact me button.
